Woman Killed In Wild Elephant Attack In Khurda

Khurda: A woman was killed after being attacked by a wild elephant at Panbarj village in the Khurda range.

The deceased woman was identified as Kiranbala Mandhata.

According to reports, the incident occurred while Kiranbala had gone to pluck flowers when an elephant attacked her and eventually trampled her to death.

On being informed, the Forest department and police personnel reached the spot and drove the elephant away to a nearby forest.

Kiranbala’s body has been sent for post-mortem.
