Youth Drowns to Death in Keonjhar Dist

Keonjhar: A youth drowned to death in the Baitarini River at Anandapur in Odisha’s Koraput district.

The deceased was identified as Ashish Prusty.

According to reports, Ashish along with his four friends has to the river Baitarini to take a bath. Suddenly, Ashish and one of his friends were seen drowning in the river. Locals immediately rescued one of the youths but failed to rescue Ashish.

On being informed, the Fire service personnel reached the spot and fished out Ashish from the river. He was rushed to the Sub Divisional Hospital at Anandapur. He was declared brought dead by the attending doctors.
