Another Drug Agency Owner Held In Cuttack For Selling Spurious Telma-40

Cuttack: Another thread of the fake and adulterated medicine racket has been unearthed in Cuttack city Monday with an arrest of a person.

Acting on reliable inputs, the city’s Purighata police swung into action and seized spurious Telma-40 medicine worth three lakhs near Dolamundai of Mahatab Road and arrested the drug agency owner, identified as Rahul Kyal.

According to the information, one VR drug agency ordered the medicine from Kolkata. During the raid, the cops have seized 1350 strips of duplicate tablets.

Notably, the sale of suspected spurious drugs- Telma AM and Telma-40 meant for treating high blood pressure and heart disease was detected in Bhubaneswar last week. Subsequently, the directorate conducted raids on wholesale points in Cuttack.
