Babushan’s DAMaN Released in Theatres

Bhubaneswar: Ollywood superstar Babushan starrer ‘Daman’ was released today at 43 cinema halls in Odisha. In a time when Odia films are finding it hard to get film halls for their release, the wide scale release of this movie was a sigh of relief for Ollywood.

The movie is directed by Devi Prasad Lenka and Vishal Mourya. Dipanwit Dashmohapatra and Babushan Mohanty are the lead characters in this film.

The story of Daman is about a young doctor Siddharth, who is making all efforts to provide medical services in extremely remote rural area. Initially he is reluctant to leave Bhubaneswar to serve in the naxal dominated area lacking basic amenities, where he is posted.

In the end, he is seen performing his duty fearlessly without caring about anything. This film has tried to make people aware that malaria can be fatal and it cannot be cured by superstitious practices.
