Bira Ramachandrapur Sarpanch Killed As Truck Hits Bike In Puri

Puri: Sarpanch of Bira Ramachandrapur panchayat under Satyabadi block of Puri district was killed after being hit by a dumper truck near Delta Chowk on Nimapara-Balanga road on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Deepa Behera, sarpanch of Bira Ramachandrapur panchayat under Satyabadi block of Puri district.

According to reports, the incident occurred while Deepa was returning home after attending a wedding feast along with two of her relatives when a hyva truck hit the motorcycle. However, her relatives had a narrow escape and sustained minor injuries.

While the driver of the truck fled the spot, Nimapara police seized the vehicle.
