BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi Thrashes BJD Over Various Issues During Her Padampur Campaign

Padampur: The erstwhile district collector of Bargarh and BJP MP of Bhubaneswar Aparajita Sarangi kicked off her campaign for the Padampur by-poll by seeking the formation of a separate district comprising the blocks of Jharbandh, Padampur & Paikmal.

“Why has the BJD, despite being in power for the last 22 years not been able to fulfill its 1994 promise of giving the status of a district to Padampur?” Aparajita asked during her address.

Citing state minister Pramila Mallik’s yesterday’s remarks in the Vidhan Sabha that the state government has no immediate plans to accord Padampur the status of a district, Sarangi alleged that CM Naveen’s promise of giving district status to Padampur was an eyewash.

The BJP MP also slammed the BJD for not taking adequate measures to eradicate poverty.

She furthered her attack on the CM for not being able to connect with the general public.
