Sources reveal that fraudsters misused such posters to deceive people, extracting money after providing accommodation. This practice not only tarnishes the city’s aesthetics but also poses a threat to residents. BMC aims to curb this by imposing fines and filing FIRs.
The civic body has urged citizens to refrain from putting ‘To-Let’ posters on city walls and poles to maintain the city’s beauty and prevent fraudulent activities.
