Odisha Cyber Crime Police Bust Online Fraud Ring, Detain Trio from Bihar

Koraput: The Cyber Crime Police in Odisha’s Koraput district have arrested three men from Bihar for their alleged involvement in an online fraud scheme.

The suspects, identified as Bhola Prasad (46), Gourav Kumar (23), and Vikas Kumar (23), are all residents of Chakbai village in Nawada district, Bihar.

The police seized ₹1.5 lakh in cash, a laptop, 14 mobile phones, and three passbooks from the accused.

The investigation into the case began after a complaint was filed by a victim who had been duped of ₹4 lakh by the accused.

The police tracked down the accused to Bihar with the help of the Warsaliganj police.

Cops believe that the accused may have cheated other people across the country and the total amount of money involved could be around ₹1 crore.

The police are continuing their investigation and are looking for other people involved in the racket.
