With Over Rs 1000 Cr Business, August 2023 Fantastic Month for Indian Film Industry  

Mumbai: August 2023 became the revival of time for the Indian film industry. Because of the terrific run at the box office by movies ranging from Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 to Rajinikanth’s Jailer, the total collections of Indian films in theatres this month have crossed Rs 1000 crore.

As per Sacnilk.com, Gadar 2 has till now earned Rs 745 crore net. Rajinikanth’s Jailer has minted an impressive Rs 319.35 crore net in India.

Other movies have also fared well in August to add to the historic Rs 1000 crore plus earnings. These movies include Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 (around Rs 135 crore), Ayushmann Khurrana’s newly released Dream Girl 2 (around Rs 45 crore), and Karan Johar’s directorial comeback, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which released on July 28 and did Rs 150 crore, business in August.

It is hoped that September will also be a good time for the Indian box office. Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan will be on big screens on September 7. Prabhas’ Salaar will be released on September 28.
