Family of 3 Found Dead in Car with Gunshot Wounds In Odisha’s Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: In a tragic incident in Jharsuguda district, Odisha, on Thursday morning, a man, his wife and their 12-year-old daughter were found dead inside a car parked near the playground of a school at Banipahada, under Lakhanpur police limits.

All three victims sustained gunshot wounds, raising suspicion of a murder-suicide.

While the official cause remains under investigation, initial reports suggest the possibility of the man shooting his wife and daughter before taking his own life.

The family hailed from Kali Nagar in Brajarajnagar, under Orient police limits. Upon receiving information, police arrived at the scene and recovered the bodies after breaking open the car door. A firearm was also seized from the vehicle.

A thorough investigation is underway, with a dedicated police team and a scientific unit deployed to gather evidence.
