9 Madhya Pradesh Women Nabbed in Odisha for Smuggling 1.53 Quintals of Ganja

Nuapada: Odisha Excise officials have arrested nine women from Madhya Pradesh on charges of trafficking ganja from Odisha’s Nuapada district.

Reports revealed that the Excise department received a tip-off about an interstate smuggling operation within the district. After conducting a thorough investigation and gathering credible intelligence, Excise officials executed raids at various locations in the town on Tuesday.

During the raids, the authorities confiscated 1.53 quintals of ganja from the possession of the smugglers. The apprehended women are currently undergoing questioning to determine the involvement of any other individuals in the illicit racket.
