Hockey World Cup: It’s Australia Vs Germany & Netherlands Vs Belgium For A Berth In The Final

Bhubaneswar: Two semi-final games of the FIH Hockey World Cup will be played tonight at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

Australia will play Germany in the first semi-final, and Belgium will play the Netherlands in the other. While the championship game will take place on Sunday, the last round of classification matches at the Rourkela stadium’s Birsa Munda will take place tomorrow.

Meanwhile, India trounced Japan by an 8-0 score in a classification match yesterday in Rourkela.

The three times Champion Australia have made it into the semifinals for the 12^th time. On the other hand opponent, Germany is coming to the field with all its potential and not going to be that easy for the Aussies.

The Netherlands, meanwhile, have had an easy passage to the semifinals with a 5-1 win over South Korea but it is not going to be that easy to defend reigning Olympic gold medalists Belgium in the semifinal field.
