Koraput Assistant Conservator Of Forest Lands In Vigilance Net

Koraput: Lamtaput ACF (Assistant Conservator of Forest) identified as Surjit Sahoo landed in Vigilance net over allegations of the acquisition of disproportionate assets.

According to reports, on the same day, Sahoo was promoted to the post of ACF (Assistant Conservator of Forest) from the ranger post.

Acting upon reliable input, Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Monday intercepted Surjit Kumar Sahu, Forest Range Officer, Lamtaput in Koraput district while he was travelling by car to Bhubaneswar and recovered cash to the tune of Rs 1,05,000.

As Sahu was unable to offer a satisfactory reply as to where he got the cash from, the Vigilance Department has initiated action against him for amassing disproportionate assets (DA).

Following this, simultaneous searches are being conducted at the office and residential quarters of the Forest official as well as his family residence in Bhubaneswar from the DA angle. A detailed report regarding the searches is awaited.
