Man, Niece Found Dead In Sundargarh Village, Suicide Suspected

Sundargarh: Two dead bodies were recovered from near a pond at Kapanda village under Lahunipara police limits of Sundargarh district on Friday.

Police have recovered the bodies of a man and his niece, identified as Jogendra Kisan and Jayatri Kisan respectively.

According to reports, the matter came to the fore after some locals spotted the bodies lying near the pond and immediately informed the police about the same.

On being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the bodies for post-mortem.

Though the exact reason behind their death is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that they committed suicide by consuming pesticides. Further investigation is underway.
