Naba Das Murder: Crime Branch Bringing Gopal Das To Jharsuguda From Raipur

Bhubaneswar: After the Narco & polygraph test of accused ASI Gopal Das in Gujarat, Odisha Crime Branch is bringing Das to Jharsuguda.

According to available information, Crime Branch is bringng Gopal Das from Raipur via road. A narco-analysis test of Das was completed in a Gandhinagar lab in Gujarat on Saturday.

An Odisha Crime Branch Team led by Additional Director General (Crime Branch) Arun Bothra had taken a flight to Ahmedabad with Gopal Das on Wednesday for the purpose.
As Odisha’s State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL) in Bhubaneswar is not having the facility to conduct narco-analysis and brain-mapping tests, Gopal was taken to Gujarat for these tests.

In the Gandhinagar laboratory, during the narco test, the accused Gopal Das was administered drugs like sodium pentothal, scopolamine, and sodium amytal. These drugs took him to a hypnotic state when he is more likely to disclose information, which would usually not be revealed in the conscious state. Through it, the exact reason behind the murder of Odisha health minister Naba Das as well as the possibility of other conspirators behind may have been extracted from him.

Earlier his polygraph or lie detector test was also done in Gandhinagar. A Jharsuguda court had given permission for polygraph and narco-analysis tests of the accused. Gopal Das had also consented for the tests.
