Nabarangpur Girl Student Committs Suicide At Hostel

Nabarangpur: A girl student allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself inside her hostel room at Umerkote in Nabarangpur district on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Nageswari Gond, a resident of Salebhata village under Raighr police station limits in Nabarangpur district.

Nageswari was a second-year student of the Mechanical (Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning) trade in the ITI.

Nageswari’s body was reportedly found hanging inside Room No-2 in the girls’ hostel of the technical institution.

On being informed, Umerkote Police reached the ITI campus and initiated a probe into the matter.

Meanwhile, it is yet to be ascertained why the girl took such a drastic step.
