21 Injured as Bus Carrying Nepali Pilgrims to Puri Collides with Truck in Odisha

Balasore: A bus carrying Nepali pilgrims met with an accident on NH-16 near Talanagar in Odisha’s Balasore district on Sunday morning, resulting in injuries to at least 21 individuals. The incident occurred when the bus, en route from Kolkata to Puri, collided with a stationary truck from behind.

Local residents promptly came to the aid of the victims, rescuing them from the scene and transporting them to Soro Hospital for medical treatment. The bus driver’s condition deteriorated, necessitating his transfer to Balasore District Headquarters Hospital for more intensive care.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
