Odisha Mourns The Loss Of Its Brave Son: Martyred Jawan To Be Cremated With Full State Honours

Bhubaneswar: Martyred Odia jawan, Pratap Ranjan Parida from Malla village in Puri district, will receive full state honours during his cremation. His body is set to arrive in Bhubaneswar via a special aircraft, after which it will be taken to his ancestral village for the final rites.

Pratap Ranjan Parida is survived by a son and a daughter, and his family was informed of his death by BSF officials. The circumstances surrounding his death, which occurred while he was on his way to a ghat from Sura camp, remain unclear.

Pratap Ranjan Parida’s widow, Satyabhama Parida, expressed her grief and raised concerns about the circumstances of her husband’s demise. She mentioned that he often received calls from Bangladesh and abruptly ended their conversations before his untimely death. She is demanding a CBI enquiry to investigate the matter further and bring any wrongdoers to justice.
