Odisha Extends BSKY Benefits to Children Aged 5-18 Under NFSA and SFSS

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has expanded the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) program to cover children aged 5 to 18 from families under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and the State Food Security Scheme (SFSS).

If the child’s name is not in the database, parents with existing database records can avail benefits by providing relevant documentation. This includes the child’s birth certificate, Aadhaar card, and ration card.

This decision is important because it ensures that all children from eligible families have access to comprehensive healthcare coverage. Previously, some children were excluded from the official database due to slot limitations in certain blocks, preventing them from registering for cashless treatment under BSKY.

The State Health Assurance Society will be responsible for implementing this decision. Parents who wish to avail benefits for their children under BSKY can contact the nearest health centre or submit their documents online.

For more information, please visit the BSKY website or contact the State Health Assurance Society.
