Pradhan was detained on Saturday for accumulating assets disproportionate to his official income, with his declared assets showing a 245% discrepancy. Following his arrest, Vigilance officials identified these new plots in West Medinpur district.

Previously, the investigation revealed Pradhan’s possession of numerous assets, including a five-story building, a market complex, 85 plots, approximately 335 grams of gold, over Rs. 78 lakhs in deposits, and Rs. 11.7 lakhs in cash—assets he failed to justify adequately. He is currently held in judicial custody as the probe continues.
