Cuttack: A state-of-the-art smart bus with advanced safety features is set to begin operations between Cuttack and Jeypore.

The bus, owned by a Cuttack-based operator, comes equipped with several security and safety enhancements to ensure passenger protection during travel.

Passengers can report reckless driving or misbehaviour by pressing buttons installed above the windows. These buttons instantly alert the nearest police station, ensuring quick intervention.

Additionally, the bus has an in-built system to prevent intoxicated drivers from operating the vehicle.

Other safety features include water sprinklers to control fires and smoke detectors that sound an alarm in case of smoke inside the bus.

According to the bus owner, these advanced safety features will come at no additional cost to passengers.
