Three Persons Accused Of Murder In Odisha Arrested From Surat

Surat: Three persons have been arrested from Surat on charges of killing a man in Odisha.

The Surat Special Operations Group has turned over the arrested individuals—Bikash Bisoi, Rohit Bisoi, and Jaguna alias Jagannath Swain—to the Ganjam Police in Odisha.

The Surat police arrested the suspects after receiving specific information that they were roaming around in the railway station premises.

During initial interrogation, they admitted to attacking Amar Raut, 23, and his companion Siba Pradhan on December 14, 2022, resulting in Amar’s death and Siba’s serious injuries and hospitalisation, according to Police Inspector A P Chaudhary.

Amar’s father, Daktar Raut, filed a complaint at the Gangapur police station alleging that the accused had assaulted his son with a sharp object.

According to the police, the accused’s attacks on Amar and Siba were motivated by “political rivalry.”
