Village Pond Turns Grave For Woman In Kendrapada

Kendrapara: A woman drowned while attending a nature’s call in the early hours of Sunday in Telipatna village, which is within the Aul police limits.

The victim has been identified as Basanti Behera, wife of Padmanav Behera.

Basanti had reportedly gone to the local pond to respond to her natural call. She slipped into the pond out of carelessness and drowned.

Family members began looking for her as she didn’t return home even after a considerable amount of time. Later, they discovered Basanti’s dead body floating in the pond. She was fished out of the water and rushed to Aul hospital for treatment. However, she was declared brought dead by the doctors there.
