VSSUT Student Death: Murder Case Filed Against Two Including Male Friend

Burla: In the latest development in Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) student Chinmayi Priyadarshini Sahu’s death case, police have filed a murder case against two persons including her male friend Pritiman Dey.

According to reports, police have detained two accused and another student of VSSUT for further questioning in connection.

For unversed, Chinmayi was reported to have jumped off the power channel bridge on Tuesday night after attending the convocation ceremony. Her body was recovered on Wednesday. The university authorities had lodged a missing complaint at Sambalpur police station.

Her family members alleged that there were bruises and strangulation marks on her throat. Her body also bears bruises and injury marks, her mother alleged.
