Gas Tanker Mows Down Fish Seller In Jajpur

Jajpur: In a tragic incident, a gas tanker mowed down a fish seller near Ganesh Bajai Chakk under Jajpur road police station limits in the district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Anadi Mallik.

According to reports, the incident took place while Anadi was on his way to the Jajpur road market on his cycle for selling fish when the speeding tanker hit him from the rear. Subsequently, He died on the spot.

On being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the body for post-mortem. The cops also seized the vehicle and detained the accused driver for questioning.

Further investigation is underway in this regard.
