IPL 2023: How Does The Points Table Read At Halfway Stage?

Bhubaneswar: The 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 reached halfway at the conclusion of the 35th game in which Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by a huge margin of 55 runs.

Gujarat rose to second place in the points standings after defeating MI. Notably, GT has won five of their seven games thus far in the competition. Meanwhile, the number one ranking, held by Chennai Super Kings (CSK), remained unaltered. Chennai ended the midway point ahead of Gujarat despite likewise having five wins and two losses. This was owing to Chennai’s higher net run rate.

Similarly, Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are in the third and fourth spots, with four wins each. On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) sits at the fifth position with the same victory count as RR and LSG but a lesser run rate.

In the meantime, Punjab Kings (PBKS), MI, and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) occupy the sixth, seventh and eighth positions, with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC) sitting in the ninth and tenth spots.
