KL Rahul Shares Update On His Injuries, Undergoes Successful Surgery On Right Thigh

New Delhi: Indian cricketer has recently shared an update on his injury. The right-handed batter on Tuesday confirmed that he has undergone successful surgery on his right thigh.

Taking to his social media handle, the India opener shared a note that reads: “Hi everyone, I just got done with my surgery – it was successful. A big thank you to the doctors and medical staff for making sure I was comfortable and everything went smoothly. I’m officially on the road to recovery now. I’m determined to get back to my best and get back on the field. Onwards and upwards!.”

Notably, Rahul suffered an injury to his right upper thigh while fielding during an IPL 2023 match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 1.

Earlier, BCCI named Wicket-keeper batsman Ishan Kishan as the injured KL Rahul’s replacement in India’s World Test Championship final squad against Australia, which will take place from June 7–11 in England.
