NZ Vs IND, 2nd ODI Preview: India Eye To Level Series Amid Wash Out Threat

Hamilton: The second ODI of the three-match series will be played in Hamilton, and the Indian cricket squad has arrived. The opening ODI saw the Kiwis dominate the Men in Blue as they chased down the target of 307 runs rather easily. The Men in Blue will now look to perform better in the second outing, but Hamilton’s Seddon Park is experiencing unfavourable weather and the rain is in the mood to play its game.

The overhead conditions seem to pose a significant threat to whether the game can be played or not. The second ODI may be interrupted by rain, according to the Meteorological Service of New Zealand. Notably, by nightfall, the rain may have subsided to a few drizzles. The game will begin at 2:30 PM local time, and afternoon thunderstorms seem pertinent.

Additionally, AccuWeather reports that there is a 56% chance of precipitation in the morning, a 94% chance of rain in the afternoon, and only 61% in the evening.

The Indian team will need to regroup and play better in the second ODI to stay alive in the series after suffering a 7-wicket setback. Kane Williamson and Tom Latham led the New Zealanders to victory while Shikhar Dhawan’s team struggled with their bowling.
