WATCH | Babar, Sarfaraz & Shan Plan Outing Mid-Match in Australia Tour Game, Fans Apalled

Canberra: In a light-hearted moment during the ongoing warm-up match between Pakistan and Australia’s Prime Minister XI in Canberra, Test skipper Shan Masood, along with Babar Azam and Sarfaraz Ahmed, engaged in a hilarious conversation about their outing plans after the day’s play. Captured on the stump mic, the trio discussed their readiness for the outing, with Babar breaking into laughter when the topic of being the “third one” arose.

Meanwhile, in the match, Cameron Bancroft and Marcus Harris contributed with scores of 53 and 49, respectively, for Australia’s Prime Minister XI. However, neither was able to convert their starts into big scores. The Prime Minister’s XI concluded the day at 149-2, trailing Pakistan by 242 runs in the only warm-up match before the three-Test series in Perth.

Pakistan declared at 391-9, with captain Shan Masood completing a double century on day two of the match. South Australian quick Jordan Buckingham claimed 5-80. The match, billed as a “bat-off” to find a replacement for David Warner, saw Bancroft and Harris open ahead of Matt Renshaw, who is also vying for Warner’s spot after his planned retirement post the third Test against Pakistan in January.
