Zoom Fires Its President ‘Without Cause’ Days After 1,300 Layoffs

New Delhi: Video communications company Zoom has fired its president, Greg Tomb days after firing around 1,300 employees. Tomb, a former Google employee who only began working at the company around 10 months ago.

As per a report by BBC, the regulatory filing by the company revealed the firing of the President. The report further adds that Tomb would be entitled to severance benefits as per Zoom’s policy.

While the details of his severance pay are unknown, the severance arrangements would be done as per the policy for “termination without cause”.

Zoom skyrocketed during the COVID-19 pandemic and became a household name. However, post the pandemic and lockdowns, the video-conferencing website has struggled to retain its popularity. Recently, Zoom’s CEO also announced that they would be making job cuts and joined the Layoffs 2023 spree.
