Day Temp Reaches 46°C in Balasore, 45.4 °C in Bhubaneswar at 2.30 PM

Bhubaneswar: The whole of Odisha sizzled under the extreme heat wave on Tuesday as Balasore experienced the highest recorded temperature this summer. According to the regional centre of the IMD, at 2.30 pm on Tuesday, Balasore recorded 46 degrees Celsius.

Bhubaneswar simmered at 45.4 degrees at 2.30 pm on Tuesday. The temperature crossed the 45 degrees mark fro the first time in Bhubaneswar this year.

The IMD has issued red warning for heat wave in Khurda, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Angul and Cuttack districts.

Orange warning for heat wave has been issued for Sambalpur, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Malkangiri, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Nabarangpur, Deogarh, Nuapada, Sundergarh, Rayagada and Jharsuguda districts.
