Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre in Odisha has forecasted that the ongoing heatwave conditions are expected to prevail until April 18. The centre has predicted a gradual increase in maximum temperatures by 4-6°C over the next 4-5 days across several districts of Odisha.

Here’s a day-wise breakdown of the forecast:

  • April 15: Heatwave conditions are expected at one or two places in districts like Cuttack, Nayagarh, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, and Bhadrak. Additionally, hot and humid weather is predicted in Khurda, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Angul, Balasore, and Mayurbhanj.
  • April 16: Heatwave conditions are highly likely in districts such as Cuttack, Khurda, Nayagarh, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Angul, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Keonjhar, and Kandhamal.
  • April 17: Heatwave conditions are anticipated in districts including Cuttack, Khurda, Nayagarh, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Angul, Jajpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, and Koraput.
  • April 18: Heatwave conditions are expected to persist in districts such as Cuttack, Khurda, Nayagarh, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Angul, Jajpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, and Koraput.
