Historic Ram Mandir Rath Yatra To Travel 12,875 Kms, Visit 851 Temples In 48 US States

Chicago (US): The highly anticipated Ram Mandir Rath Yatra, organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA), is set to embark on a monumental journey from Chicago on Monday. This spiritual expedition will span over 8,000 miles, reaching 851 temples across 48 states within the next 60 days.

Amitabh Mittal, the general secretary of VHPA, revealed that the yatra will feature a chariot fashioned from a Toyota Sienna van, adorned with statues of Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman. Alongside, special prasadam from the revered Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and the kalash of Prana Pratishtha Pujit Akshat will accompany the journey.

“The Ram Mandir’s inauguration has ignited immense joy among over 1.5 billion Hindus globally, fostering a renewed sense of faith and energy,” Mittal expressed.

Tejal Shah of the Hindu Mandir Empowerment Council (HMEC) emphasized the yatra’s mission to raise awareness, educate, and empower Hindu Dharma. She highlighted the significance of unity among Hindus for the preservation and promotion of their cultural heritage.

Volunteers have fervently joined the cause, marking the first instance of such a comprehensive yatra in the US. The journey’s culmination is scheduled for April 23, coinciding with the auspicious day of Shree Hanuman Jayanti, in Sugar Grove, Illinois.

“We aim to visit every mandir in the USA, extending our gratitude to those who participated in the Ram Mandir inauguration ceremonies,” Shah affirmed.

The yatra is set not only to unite Hindu communities but also to celebrate and disseminate the essence of Hindu Dharma across the United States.
