Man Chops His Girlfriend into 35 Pieces

New Delhi: A man in Delhi chopped his live-in partner into 35 pieces and disposed her body parts across the city in 18 days.

The accused was identified as Aftab Ameen Poonawalla. The victim was his live-in partner Shraddha.

According to reports, Aftab and Shraddha were in a live-in relationship. However, Aftab murdered Shraddha after they had a fight on May 18.

The accused chopped her body into 35 pieces and stored the body parts in a fridge. Later, within 18 days, he disposed the body parts at various locations around Delhi. He was doing it at dead of night at around  2 am.

As per the sources, soon after Shraddha stopped responding to her family’s phone calls, her family suspected that something is wrong. On November 8, the victim’s father Vikas Madaan came to Delhi to check on his daughter. When he reached the flat, it was locked. He approached the Mehrauli Police and filed a complaint alleging kidnapping.

On the basis of the complaint, police arrested Aftab on Saturday. At the time of investigation, the accused revealed the two were having frequent fights as Shraddha wanted to marry him. He also revealed about killing and disposal of the body of Shraddha.

Police have booked on charges of murder and are searching for Shraddha’s body.
