Ram’s Dhanush Can’t Be Held By Ravana…: Uddhav Thackeray Amid ‘Sena Symbol’ Fight

Mumbai: Days after the Election Commission allotted the party name and symbol to the Sena faction led by CM Eknath Shinde, Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray, said Ram’s Dhanush can’t be held by Ravana.

After the meeting held at 12.30 pm, he interacted with the press and said, “The party name and symbol have been stolen, but they cannot steal Thackeray’s name. They don’t have the fortune of being born as a son of Balasaheb.”

“I had requested the Election Commission, that there is a matter of suspended MLAs in the Supreme Court and until the verdict comes, don’t give your decision,” he said.

Reiterating that there is not a single instance where the party name and symbol were directly given to one faction, Uddhav said the Election Commission should be dissolved.

“We have moved the Supreme Court against the decision given by the Election Commission. The hearing will start tomorrow,” he added.

Uddhav Thackeray, who was stripped of the party name and its election symbol by the Election Commission, also said his faction would use the torch symbol till February 28.
