Two Minor Siblings Drown In Koraput

Koraput: Two minor siblings drowned on Friday morning while bathing in a pond in Pipalpur village under Lamtaput block of Koraput district. The deceased have been identified as Yogesh and Satathi, children of Jinu.

According to reports, the incident took place while the siblings were taking a bath in the village pond when they slipped into deep water.

Their father Jinu had gone out to work and when the children did not return even after a long time, Jinu launched a frantic search but in vain.  Later, local people spotted the two children floating in the pond and brought them out.

On being informed, police reached the village, sent the bodies for post-mortem, and started an investigation into the incident.
