BJP Prez JP Nadda Lashes Out On Conch Party, Calls For BJD-Mukt Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Launching a scathing attack on Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) government, BJP National President, JP Nadda on Friday said that the state needs to be freed from the conch party rule.

On the second day of his two-day Odisha visit, Nadda addressed a gathering at Samyukta Morcha Sammelan in Bhubaneswar and slammed BJD accusing of hijacking the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and re-branding it as its own- Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana.

“BJP in Odisha needs to aware people that the state’s ruling government is hijacking the schemes which PM Narendra Modi launched. BJD is getting all credits under the umbrella of centre’s schemes,” Nadda said.

Lashing out at BJD, the BJP president said, “The BJD government has deprived 60 lakh families of Odisha of the benefits of Centre’s Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Under MGNREGA, the Centre sanctioned Rs 15490 crore but fake bills are being made here in Odisha. Under Jal Jeevan Mission, the Modi government gave Rs 4966 crore but people in tribal areas still have to depend on water from wells and ponds.”

“Odisha is immersed in corruption and the State has to get rid of it. Each and every member of the BJP has to fight against these corrupt practices in Odisha to bring the BJP to power,” he added.
