KL Rahul to Lose Skipper’s Post of LSG, 2 Stars in Race to Replace Him

New Delhi: Star wicketkeeper and batter KL Rahul is all set to give up the captaincy of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season 2025. But he is expected to be LSG.

According to reports to ease pressure on his batting, he will step down from the role of captain as he wants to contribute more with the bat.

It is not yet sure, who will replace him as the captain of LSG in the upcoming edition of IPL 2025. Krunal Pandya and Nicholas Pooran are the two big names that are in the race.

As per reports, in a meeting on Monday, attended by the CEO of LSG, Sanjiv Goenka, the captaincy and retention topics were discussed. Goenka is having full confidence in Rahul, who will be retained as a player, but will not be seen captaining the side, said sources close to the LSG to IANS.

On Monday Rahul met Goenka at his office in Alipore, Kolkata and held a long discussion for around four hours.
