5 Arrested from Jungle in Nabarangpur ATM Loot Case, Rs 20 Lakh Seized

Nabarangpur: Five persons allegedly involved in an incident of ATM loot in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district were arrested from a forest in the Dabugaon area on Wednesday within 12 hours of committing the crime. According to police sources, four of the accused were from Haryana while another was a resident of Raipur in Chhattisgarh.

The amount looted from the ATM is yet to be ascertained. But the police seized Rs 20 lakh from the arrested persons. The ATM looters had used a gas cutter to cut open the ATM to escape with the cash in it. The ATM also caught fire because of the use of a gas cutter, and fire services personnel doused the

Swinging into action following the robbery, the personnel of the district police chased the robbers and nabbed them from a jungle near Dabugaon.
