500 CCTV Cameras to Keep Watch During Jagannath Temple Heritage Corridor Inauguration

Bhubaneswar: Over 500 CCTV cameras will be installed in different locations in Odisha’s Puri town for the maintenance of law and order during the inauguration of the Sri Jagannath Temple Heritage Corridor project on January 17.

The entire Badadanda or Grand Road from Singhdwara to Gundicha Temple in Puri will be under CCTV camera surveillance.

Several VVIPs including the Chief Minister of Odisha will attend the inauguration ceremony of the Srimandir Parikrama project. Apart from Badadanda, CCTV cameras will be installed all around the Jagannath temple, traffic junctions, parking lots and other key locations in Puri town.

Efforts are on to complete the installation of these CCTV cameras by January 10.

The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has invited the king of Nepal, Shankaracharya of Govardhan Peeth, heads of major religious institutions, and shrines across Odisha and outside to the inauguration event.
