7 Jail Officials Suspended as “VIP Treatment” of Murder-Accused Actor Darshan’s Pic Goes Viral

Bengaluru: Karnataka government has suspended seven prison officials and sought an enquiry report as picture of murder accused Kannada actor Darshan getting VIP treatment inside jail went viral.

Actor Darshan is lodged in Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Central Prison in connection with a murder case.

In the undated viral photo, Darshan along with four others are seen relaxing and drinking tea in a park inside the jail premises. Some inmates are also seen with him. One of the men sitting near Darshan is a noted criminal Wilson Garden Naga.

Seven prison officials have been suspended and the Karnataka government has sought an inquiry. DG Prisons has gone for an inspection.

Darshan was arrested in connection with the murder of Renukaswamy, who was a fan of the Kannada actor.
