9 Kanwariyas Electrocuted to Death in Bihar

Patna: At least nine Kanwariyas were electrocuted to death and three others were injured when they came in contact with a high-tension overhead wire in Bihar’s Vaishali district on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.

The incident took place at Sultanpur village in the Vaishali district when their vehicle came in contact with the high-tension wire.

The Kanwariyas met with the accident while on their way to the Baba Harihar Nath Temple in Sonepur to perform Jalabhishek. The injured have been admitted to a hospital. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the matter is being investigated.
