AAP Launches ‘Satyamev Jayate’ Social Media Campaign To Mark Manish Sisodia’s Release From Jail

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) launched the “Satyamev Jayate” display picture campaign on social media platforms on Tuesday, shortly after senior leader Manish Sisodia was released from Tihar Jail on bail granted by the Supreme Court in connection with excise policy-related cases.

Delhi minister and AAP leader Atishi announced that all party leaders and workers would adopt the “Satyamev Jayate” display picture (DP) across their social media profiles starting at 3 pm on Tuesday.

“We want to send a message to the BJP that despite their attempts to harass us or imprison our leaders, the truth will ultimately prevail,” Atishi stated. She said that the Supreme Court’s decision to grant bail to Sisodia, who had been incarcerated for 17 months, is a victory for truth.

The “Satyamev Jayate” DP features images of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Sisodia against the backdrop of the party’s colours.

The phrase “Satyamev Jayate” is inscribed in Hindi at the top, with the AAP’s poll symbol, the broom, displayed at the bottom.

The phrase “Satyamev Jayate” is derived from a hymn in the Mundaka Upanishad, meaning “truth alone triumphs.”
