BJD Leader Suspended from Party for Indecent Bahaviour Towards Woman Member

Kendrapara: The Biju Janta Dal (BJD) suspended its Garadpur block president Sasank Sekhar Parida in Kendrapara district for making indecent proposal to a female colleague.

BJD’s Kendrapara district president Utkal Keshari Parida issued the suspension order letter.

As per reports, a member of the women’s wing of the party had alleged that the Garadpur block president Sasank had made an indecent proposal to her. An audio recording of the incident has gone viral on social media.

The woman had registered a complaint against Sasank at Kendrapara police station. In her complaint, she alleged that the block president had made lewd comments at her over the phone.

Sasank was showing indecent gestures towards her and was threatening her not to reveal the incident to anyone, the female BJD leader alleged in her complaint. After discussing the matter with her husband, she had informed Patkura MLA Sabitri Agrawal’s son Sanjay Agrawal about it.

As the behavior of the erring block president did not change, she decided to lodge the complaint at the police station.
