BJP Says Kangana Ranaut Not Authorized for Statements on Party’s Policies After Her Remark on Farmers’ Stir

New Delhi: The BJP on Monday distanced itself from party MP Kangana Ranaut’s controversial remarks on the farmers’ protest.

The BJP stated that Kangana is neither permitted nor authorised to make statements on the party’s policy.

On her controversial remarks on farmers’ protest, Kangana was directed by the party to refrain from making such a statement in future.

The actor-turned-BJP MP in a video statement on X, targeted the farmers, stating their agitation could have led to a Bangladesh-like situation in the country had the top leadership not taken strong measures to control it.

According to reports, Kangana’s statement had not gone down well with the state leaders of Haryana, who apprised the top brass of BJP regarding the matter.

During the recently held Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidates faced a stiff opposition from farmers. BJP leaders feared that Ranaut’s recent statement will enhance farmers’ outrage against the party and adversely impact its prospects in certain farmer-centric pockets.

In the video, Ranaut alleged during the farmers’ protests, “bodies were seen hanging and rapes were taking place”. She blamed “foreign powers” for it.
