BSF Jawans Seize & Diffuse IED in Kandhamal Dist

Phulbani: During a combing operation, BSF jawans unearthed an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in the Taksipadar forest near the Sadingia village under Firingia police station limits in Odisha’s Kandhamal district on Friday.

The IED was suspected to have been planted by the Maoists to target the security personnel.

The IED was defused. This IED was in the form of a steel container. Its components included a 2-liter steel tin, 50 grams of a guillotine, a 6-volt battery, one bullet, lace tape, and 20 meters of electric wire.
