BSF Personnel Discover and Diffuse 5 IEDs in Malkangiri

Malkangiri: Personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) recovered five Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) planted by Maoists in Kamaraguda forest in Odisha’s Malkangiri district on Tuesday.

According to sources, these IEDs were randomly buried under the ground by Maoists to target the security forces involved in anti-naxal operations in the area.

The jawans of the BSF 142 Battalion discovered the five powerful IEDs during a combing operation in Kamarguda forest under Padia police station limits.

The recovered IEDs were safely defused by the bomb disposal squad. This averted the possibility of a major naxalite-induced mishap in the district.
