CBSE Announces Practical Exam Dates for Class 10 and 12; Check Schedule

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the schedule for class 10 and 12 board exam practicals. Practical exams are scheduled to commence on January 1, 2024. However, winter-bound schools will begin their practical exams earlier, from November 14, 2023, until December 14, 2023, as reported by PTI.

This early start accommodates the unique requirements of these schools. The main theory exams will kick off on February 15, 2024, and conclude on April 10, 2024. CBSE typically releases the complete date sheet approximately two months before the exams, enabling students to plan their study routines effectively.

Practical exams carry significant weight, accounting for 30 marks in the final assessment. Students should focus on timely submission of assignments, projects, and internal assessments, which significantly impact their overall grades.

The marking scheme for class 10 and 12 exams, encompassing theory, practical, projects, and internal assessments, allocates a maximum of 100 marks for each subject. CBSE has provided the marking scheme for 83 subjects in class 10 and 121 subjects in class 12.
