Commando Injured in ‘Accidental Firing’ While Cleaning Weapon at Ayodhya Ram Temple Complex

Ayodhya: A provincial armed constabulary (PAC) commando was injured in an “accidental firing” while cleaning his weapon at his post in the Ram Janmabhoomi complex on Tuesday evening.

The injured platoon commander Ram Prasad (50) was first taken to the Ayodhya Medical College. Later he was shifted to the KGMU Lucknow as his condition deteriorated. He is a resident of Achalpur village in Amethi district.

The injured commando Ram Prasad was posted at the Ram Janmabhoomi complex in Ayodhya for about 6 months.

According to the senior police officials of Ayodhya, the commando was injured while he was cleaning weapons at his post.

The bullet hit Ram Prasad on the left side of his chest.
