Compulsory Online Slot Booking for Land Registration in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Online slot booking for land registration has been made mandatory in Odisha. Jyoti Prakash Das, Inspector General of Registration, wrote a letter regarding this to all concerned officials along with a gazette notification for it.

The notification states, if no prior appointment through online booking of slot has been taken, and the citizen has applied in writing with justification for not being able to do so, to the Registering Officer, for acceptance of the Document for Registration on demand, then on acceptance of the reasons by the Registering Officer and subject to availability of any time slot on that day be termed as “Tatkal”.
